Even though I went to shoot the sunrise with my normal Sony DSLR's, I had to pause and shoot one with my smartphone. Learn to use whatever camera you happen to have with you..

My favorite piece of Personal Art

This is by far my favorite piece of personal art. I made it in kindergarten. The back of it picked up newsprint from the newspapers that it rested on while drying. There is also little 5 year old handwriting showing that the year was 1967!!!.

Mobile photography

With the introduction of some very high speed smartphone cameras, mobile photography has taken off to a higher level. Camera phones are not only convenient, but many of them rival the point and shoot cameras. We always seem to have our smartphones with us. Just as the creative photographer Chase Jarvis wrote about so eloquently in his book, The Best Camera is the One With You, an image can come from any camera. Here's a couple of my favorite mobile photos.

Happy Fourth of July

Can't believe that is the Fourth of July again..  Enjoy the holiday. Remember what we are celebrating. Stay safe in the water now that the hurricane has passed by. Grill a burger or two.  Happy 4th of July!!!!!!

51 and counting.

No one knows how long they will live. If today was your last day, what would be your best memory?  What would be your worst? Everyday is another day to get it right. Take the time to encourage someone. Be thankful for everything that you have in your life. Friends, family, relationships, health, wealth, etc...  I don't worry about how much time I have left. I just make sure that I take advantage of each day I get.
